A thought-provoking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin spoke by telephone with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa about the United States-Iran peace deal negotiations, says this phone call was joined by Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei revealing: ”The focus of the negotiations is on ending the war, and at this stage we are not discussing nuclear issues” and declaring: “Concerning the Strait of Hormuz in the memorandum, we are not discussing the details of the agreement...The question on how the strait will be managed is being decided by the coastal countries”.
Even though Iran has made it clear that nuclear and Strait of Hormuz issues are not part of the negotiations with the United States, this report notes, President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that a peace agreement with Iran “has been largely negotiated”—an announcement swiftly followed by President Trump being viciously attacked by warmongering forces on both the right and left—and in response to warmongering neocon leader former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo trashing the peace deal, the White House fired back: “Mike Pompeo has no idea what the fuck he’s talking about...He should shut his stupid mouth and leave the real work to the professionals...He’s not read into anything that’s happening, so how would he know”.
Most certainly read into everything that’s happening, this report continues, is President Trump, who announced yesterday: “If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon...Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is...It isn’t even fully negotiated yet...So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about...Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”.
With the war in Iran already causing the biggest global energy crisis in history, this report details, senior executives at Norwegian energy giant Equinor ASA just warned: “Europe could face a critical shortfall in natural gas stocks if shipping disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz persist for another 1-3 months”, and veteran American market strategist Jeff Currie sounded the alarm today: “Oil markets are nearing minimum operating levels in Asia, with Europe likely next and the U.S. potentially facing shortages by July”.
As a consequence for the United States having to borrow more money for another of its failed wars, this report notes, it was unsurprisingly revealed: “Moody's downgraded the U.S. sovereign credit rating to "Aa1" due to concerns about the nation's growing $36 trillion debt pile...Moody's first gave the United States its pristine "Aaa" rating in 1919 and is the last of the three major credit agencies to downgrade it”—a pristine credit downgrade that immediately triggered a massive bond selloff as the world began dumping American debt, which caused Bloomberg News to warn in terror: “The US bond market is a real life horror movie”.
Joining the United States in bankrupting itself to fund failed wars, this report continues, is the European Union, that insanely gave Ukraine a €90 billion loan it doesn’t have to pay back, but in the end will cost European taxpayers €840 billion once the interest is added on—and is sheer insanity joined by the news today: “The United Kingdom, France, and other NATO states have blocked a plan under which each member would contribute 0.25% of their GDP to military aid for Ukraine”.
Unlike the Western colonial powers bankrupting themselves with borrowed money to fight their failed wars, this report concludes, the Russian Federation pays for its wars with cash instead of borrowed money, and it was just most factually observed: “Russia’s total debt is only about 18% of GDP – by far the lowest of any major country in the world...As of early 2026, Russia could pay off every penny of its debt tomorrow just from its international reserves should the war stop...The US and Europe will have to run decades-long austerity programmes and be blessed with strong growth to get their debt back down”.
