An informative new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin will deliver his traditional speech to participants of the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on 27 October, says in response to his idea of turning Turkey into Europe’s largest natural gas hub last week, at a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party in parliament this morning, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan formally announced: “Right now Europe is thinking about how to ensure gas supplies in the coming winter period…We, thank God, do not have such a problem…Moreover, at our last meeting with Putin, we agreed to create a gas hub in Turkey…As Putin himself announced, Europe can use Russian gas through Turkey”.
With Turkey now set to become the largest natural gas hub for Europe, this report notes, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed Russia will pull back on its diplomatic efforts in the West, citing the increasingly open hostility faced by Russian diplomats and the need to focus on building and expanding relationships in the rest of the world, with him factually stating: “There’s no work there ever since Europe decided to close itself off from us...People work in conditions that can hardly be called human, so there is no point in maintaining the same level of diplomatic presence”.

In an attempt to understand why the
socialist Western colonial leader
