An intriguing new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first notes President Putin factually telling journalists this morning, when asked about possible negotiations to end the conflict between the Russia and Ukraine: “The Kiev government had been saying that they wanted talks and ostensibly asked for them, but now they issued a formal decision that prohibits them...Russia and Ukraine had reached a preliminary agreement which could have halted the hostilities, during Turkey-mediated talks in late March...Those agreements were almost initialed...But as soon as our troops were pulled back from Kiev, the leadership in Kiev lost all desire to have talks”.
Shortly prior to President Putin explaining to reporters why peace talks with Ukraine were impossible, this report notes, French President Emmanuel Macron publically declared that France would not respond with nuclear weapons if Russia deployed nukes against Ukraine—a declaration blasted by British Defense Minister Ben Wallace, who said President Macron revealed too much when he said France would not respond to the use of nuclear weapons by Russia in Ukraine with its own arsenal of nukes—in response to these socialist Western colonial powers arguing among themselves about igniting a nuclear war with Russia, it caused Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to grimly assess: “The state of affairs as it stands today has already been driven, first of all by the United States, to such a condition that it can’t get any worse”—but in fact, the present condition became much worse after Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov proclaimed: “We have come a long way and have de facto joined the NATO alliance”.
Earlier this week, this report continues, President Putin said that Russia could move the transit of gas from the Nord Stream network to the Black Sea region and Turkey, which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to this morning with the announcement: “Together with Putin, we have instructed our Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the relevant institution on the Russian side to conduct a joint study…There is no need to wait here”.
