A thought-provoking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin praised the “unconquerable spirit of unity” of the Russian peoples to mark National Unity Day, says top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov then observed about the midterm elections that divided America: “President Trump remains in office, and we sincerely hope that he will continue his peace-making efforts”.
While campaigning for office in 2024, this report notes, President Donald Trump vowed not to start anymore wars, then he started a war with Iran—while campaigning for office in 2008, it also saw President Barack Obama vowing to end the Iraq war, then he sent more young people to fight and die there—and whose fates for breaking their vows was documented yesterday: “Midterm voters gave President Trump a shellacking on Tuesday, akin to that delivered to Democrat Barack Obama in 2010, when Republicans picked up 63 seats in the House and seven seats in the Senate”.
After watching President Trump suffer the same crushing midterm elections defeat that slammed into President Obama, this report continues, Vice President J.D. Vance admitted the truth yesterday: “The reason we lost is the war...The president himself said so last night...If you’d like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so...Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay...Agree or disagree, that’s at least honest...But everyone knows why we lost...And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there”.
