A thought-provoking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov observed about the Russian diesel fuel agreement reached between President Putin and President Donald Trump during their phone call: “Of course, the completely unprecedented outcome of the presidents' telephone conversation stunned many in the war party, and that party is numerous”, says top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also revealed: “The United States, namely American negotiators and President Trump, are making efforts to help bring the settlement of the crisis around Ukraine to a peaceful track...This work is being conducted in a discrete mode, and it will continue in a discrete mode”—and is a discrete peace negotiation about which American war party mouthpiece David Ignatius assessed yesterday: “The rationale for this vexed peace initiative draws on the maxim: Whenever you run into a problem you can’t solve, make it bigger”.
