Trump Declares National Emergency As
Dieselgeddon Nears

A forewarning new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first notes President Donald Trump declared a national emergency under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and the National Emergencies Act with respect to the unusual and extraordinary foreign threat to the United States involving bulk-power systems.
Prior to declaring a national emergency, this report notes, President Trump threatened a crushing “Economic D-Day” of sanctions against anyone doing business with Iran--Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian fired back: “China has made clear on many occasions its firm opposition to illicit unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law or the authorization of the United Nations Security Council...China will do everything necessary to firmly safeguard its rights and interests”—and it was factually documented: “Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the biggest economic action of Donald Trump's presidency and left out the only measure that would have worked...He had promised an economic D-Day...He called this one Operation Economic Outcast..."No one is above the reach of US sanctions", he said...He named no country...He named no deadline...He did not designate a single major Chinese bank”.
Along with Iran praising China for rejecting American threats to impose sanctions on countries that continue to trade with the Islamic Republic, this report continues, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei declared to a knowing world agreeing with him: “Washington’s Iran policy has reached pure parody”.
Most certainly not pure parody, this report concludes, were the American peoples being warned: “Here Comes Dieselgeddon”—the Financial Times reported: “US grain farmers have been plunged into their worst financial crisis in four decades as the war with Iran drives up diesel and fertilizer costs...The latest price shock compounds years of weak crop prices and falling incomes”—and world-renowned global energy industry expert Karl W. Miller grimly documented today: “The world no longer has a meaningful middle-distillate safety cushion...There are still volumes of finished middle distillates in tanks, pipelines and terminals, but increasingly they are working inventory required to operate the system, not surplus diesel and jet fuel capable of absorbing another major outage, export restriction or shipping disruption...The physical shortage has caught up with the market...Over the next 30 days, that scarcity will transmit directly into regional availability, freight costs, food prices, agricultural production, industrial output and inflation...The second wave is already forming: natural gas and fertilizer scarcity will carry the energy shock into the 2026/27 growing cycle and food supply”.
