Trump Announces Ceasefire After

A “calm before the storm” new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first notes President Donald Trump posted the announcement yesterday: “I am pleased to announce that there will be a THREE DAY CEASEFIRE (May 9th, 10th, and 11th) in the War between Russia and Ukraine...The Celebration in Russia is for Victory Day but, likewise, in Ukraine, because they were also a big part and factor of World War II...This Ceasefire will include a suspension of all kinetic activity, and also a prison swap of 1,000 prisoners from each Country...This request was made directly by me, and I very much appreciate its agreement by President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy...Hopefully, it is the beginning of the end of a very long, deadly, and hard fought War...Talks are continuing on ending this Major Conflict, the biggest since World War II, and we are getting closer and closer every day”.
Aside from the historical fact that Ukraine collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II and has no victory to celebrate on 9 May, this report notes, top Kremlin presidential aide Yury Ushakov announced: “At the instruction of President Vladimir Putin, I confirm that President Donald Trump’s initiative regarding the ceasefire and an exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine is acceptable to the Russian side”—an announcement followed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) not surprisingly revealing today: “The Ukrainian military has violated the Victory Day ceasefire on 8,970 occasions since it took effect at midnight on Friday”.

Earlier today, this report concludes, President Putin declared to the revived Nazi Germany and its NATO member European allies during his Victory Day speech: “It would seem that Nazi strategists meticulously calculated everything except one thing - what is called the Russian character and the strength of spirit of the Soviet people...These qualities reveal themselves with particular force during the most difficult times for the Motherland...The participants in the special military operation are confronting an aggressive force that is armed and supported by the entire NATO bloc...And despite this, our heroes continue moving forward”.
