A disquieting new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump announced in a lengthy post yesterday that “Project Freedom” will begin Monday morning to free ships trapped by the duel American-Iran blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, and added: “I am fully aware that my Representatives are having very positive discussions with the Country of Iran, and that these discussions could lead to something very positive for all”, says Trump administration officials then told the Wall Street Journal: “Project Freedom will not include escorts by US warships through the Strait of Hormuz, but rather a coordinated effort by shipping and insurance companies”, quickly after which world-renowned retired CIA analyst Larry Johnson warned: “The US appears poised to unleash a new series of attacks on Iran using the Strait of Hormuz as an excuse”.
In response to President Trump announcing yet another attempt to interfere with the Strait of Hormuz, this report notes, Iranian military chief Major General Ali Abdollahi warned: “We have repeatedly stated that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and under all circumstances, any safe passage must be coordinated with these forces...We warn that any foreign armed force — especially the aggressive US military — will be attacked if they intend to approach and enter the Strait of Hormuz”, and Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei assessed: “The United States could find itself trapped in a quagmire should it proceed with its military operation in the Strait of Hormuz”.
Following the Wall Street Journal revealing: “Americans are pouring a lot more money into their gasoline tanks than they were even a week ago...So on May 1, they probably poured something on the order of $125 million more into the tank than they did the Friday before”, this report continues, United States Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy declared yesterday: “From all the briefings that I’ve had, once the Strait opens, you’ll see prices come down, come down immediately”—a declaration joined with the news today: “The Iranian Armed Forces on Monday warned the U.S. it would attack forces that intend to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz, after President Donald Trump launched ‘Project Freedom’ to help escort vessels stranded in the Gulf out of the Middle East...Oil prices were under pressure following Trump's original announcement, but then started to climb after Iran made clear that it would attack any forces that approached the Strait”.
After British maritime insurer Lloyd’s List revealed that ships are paying Iran in Chinese Yuan to transit the Strait of Hormuz, this report details, the United States threatened to sanction shipping companies that pay Iran tolls to transit the Strait of Hormuz—China then ordered its oil refinery companies to ignore American sanctions—the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported: “Two cargo ships were attacked near the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday”—all of which occurred at the same time the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier strike group left the war zone to return home to America, which leaves the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier strike groups as the last two facing off against Iran in Middle Eastern seas.
Along with the New York Times factually documenting: “Two months into the war in Iran, President Trump is confronting the complicated reality of a conflict that has proved costly, deeply unpopular and lacks a clear endgame...Just three weeks ago, Mr. Trump said Iran had agreed to all of his demands and he suggested a breakthrough was near...Iran would work with the United States to remove its enriched uranium, energy prices would drop and a growing global crisis with potential severe political ramifications would subside...None of that happened”, this report concludes, its just released warning article “America Is Officially An Empire In Decline” poignantly observed: “If a globalist system built on free trade, democracy promotion and mass migration is so great, Trump voters asked, then why have we had to borrow $35 trillion since we took it up?”.
