A thought-provoking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump declared yesterday: “Iran wants to make a deal, and we’re dealing very nicely with them...The war should be ending pretty soon, because otherwise, bad things could happen, the really bad thing...If a deal is signed in Islamabad, I may go...They want me”, says White House budget director Russell Vought then refused to provide American lawmakers with an estimate of the cost of the “profoundly illegal and unjust” war on Iran—and was a refusal joined by the Daily Mail newspaper in London revealing that the Pentagon is deliberately concealing catastrophic, billion-dollar military losses inflicted by highly effective Iranian retaliatory strikes.
Also yesterday, this report notes, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth declared: “The United States Navy controls the traffic going in and out of the Strait of Hormuz because we have real assets and real capabilities, and we’re doing this blockade”—and was a declaration followed by the news today: “Three Iranian oil tankers carrying a total of five million barrels of crude have become the first such loaded vessels to leave the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz since a US blockade came into force...The Deep Sea, Sonia I and Diona, all under US sanctions, passed the strategic strait yesterday after leaving Iran’s Kharg Island, having loaded on April 2, 8 and 9 respectively”.
Three weeks ago, this report continues, Secretary of War Hegseth proclaimed in triumph: “Iran has no air force”—a triumphant proclamation followed by top Pakistan negotiator Field Marshal Asim Munir arriving in Iran on Wednesday, and whose plane was escorted by Iranian fighter jets.
Earlier today, this report details, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced: “In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by the Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Republic of Iran”—an announcement swiftly followed by President Trump posting: “IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN AND READY FOR FULL PASSAGE. THANK YOU!...THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS COMPLETELY OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS AND FULL PASSAGE, BUT THE NAVAL BLOCKADE WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS IT PERTAINS TO IRAN, ONLY, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE...THIS PROCESS SHOULD GO VERY QUICKLY IN THAT MOST OF THE POINTS ARE ALREADY NEGOTIATED”.
After viewing all of the documented deliberate distortions and outright lies President Trump has told about his illegal war on Iran, this report concludes, the New York Times, in its just released article “Done And Dusted? Trump’s Portrayal Of The War In Iran Collides With Reality”, assessed: “The president’s approach of his own charismatic and powerful personality is not a match for the complexity, the opacity, that is the case with Iran”—and was an assessment joined by top America First influencer Tucker Carlson warningly observing: “What’s the religion, honestly, of Donald Trump?...It’s not Christianity, clearly...It’s Israelism...It’s the defense of Israel”.
