A forewarning new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump ordered a total naval blockade of Cuba in a replay of the Cuban Missile Crisis that brought the United States and Russia to brink of nuclear war in October-1962, says this naval blockade war order followed top Kremlin national security adviser Nikolay Patrushev declaring: “Russia’s response to Western piracy targeting its maritime trade should be forceful and not limited to diplomatic means...Unless we push back forcefully, soon the English, the French, and even the Balts will get brazen enough to try and block our nation’s access to at least the Atlantic”, and he warningly observed: “The exercises Maritime Security Belt 2026 turned out to be relevant in The Strait of Hormuz, where Russia, China and Iran sent their ships”.
Earlier today, this report notes, the American-Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Geneva-Switzerland abruptly ended after two hours of talks—top Russian negotiator Vladimir Medinsky told reporters: “As you know, the negotiations lasted two days...They were very long yesterday, in various formats...We had two hours of talks today...They were tough-going, but businesslike”—top American negotiator Steve Witkoff announced: “The United States moderated a third set of trilateral discussions with Ukraine and Russia...Both parties agreed to update their respective leaders and continue working towards a deal”—and Chairman Andrey Kartapolov of the State Duma Defense Committee proclaimed: “Ukraine will win only if it becomes a part of the Russian Federation”.
Also earlier today, this report continues, the second round of United States-Iran nuclear talks ended in Geneva-Switzerland—Iranian Navy spokesman Rear Admiral Hassan Maghsoudloo announced when the talks ended: “Joint naval exercises of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia will be held tomorrow in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean”—and Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guard Corps warned: “If there is a pretext for closing the Strait of Hormuz, our armed forces will carry out this operation as soon as possible”.
As the Russian navy moves against American warships near Iran, this report details, the just released American defense article “Final Pieces Moving Into Place For Potential Attack On Iran” revealed: “A large wave of American airpower is heading toward the Middle East to bolster forces already there as President Donald Trump considers an attack against Iran...Online flight trackers are showing F-22 Raptors, F-16 Fighting Falcons, E-3 Sentry radar planes and a U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane either in transit across the Atlantic or newly arrived in Europe...In addition, a seventh Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer, the USS Pinckney, has recently deployed to the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility as well...These are exactly the movements we’ve been expecting in advance of a sustained operation, both defensive and offensive”—a revelation joined by former Israeli Military Intelligence chief Amos Yadlin warning: “Last week I allowed myself to fly to the Munich Security Conference...I would think twice about flying abroad from Israel this weekend”.
