Trump Frees Russians And
Proclaims “I Don’t Need International Law”

A thought-provoking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting the United States Embassy in Ukraine issued the warning alert yesterday: ”The U.S. embassy in Kyiv has received information concerning a potentially significant air attack that may occur at any time over the next several days”, says this warning alert was followed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) announcing this morning: “Overnight today, in response to a terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on the residence of the Russian president in the Novgorod Region, carried out on the night of 29 December 2025, the Russian armed forces conducted a massive strike using long-range, high-precision weapons launched from land- and sea-based platforms, including the Oreshnik medium-range mobile ground-based missile system, as well as strike unmanned aerial vehicles, against critically important facilities on the Ukrainian territory”.
Last year on 21 June, this report notes, Russian basketball player Daniil Kasatkin was arrested in France at the request of the United States—an illegal arrest followed by the Federal Security Service (FSB) announcing today: “Moscow has conducted a prisoner swap with Paris, exchanging jailed French national Laurent Vinatier for detained basketball player Daniil Kasatkin”—an announcement joined by the United States releasing the two Russian citizens who were aboard the Ukrainian crewed vessel the Americans seized on Wednesday, quickly after which the Foreign Ministry issued the statement: “We welcome this decision and express our gratitude to the US leadership”.
Along with ordering the freeing of wrongfully detained Russian citizens, this report continues, President Donald Trump proclaimed last evening: “My own morality...My own mind...It’s the only thing that can stop me...I don’t need international law” and warned: “We are going to start now hitting land with regard to the cartels...The cartels are running Mexico”—the Washington Post quickly observed: “The president has flexed U.S. military muscle more vigorously in the past 12 months than he did in all four years of his first term”—and a European Union diplomat warned Politico: “We must be ready for a direct confrontation with Trump...He is in an aggressive mode, and we need to be geared up”.
Joining President Trump proclaiming: “I don’t need international law”, this report details, it was also revealed: “President Trump announced plans to withdraw the United States from nearly 70 global organizations”—a revelation swiftly followed by the news: “President Donald Trump declared he would ask Congress for a $1.5 trillion defense budget in 2027, a massive $500 billion increase from this year’s Pentagon budget...The president provided few details in his post on Truth Social, other than to say the money would pay for his “Dream Military””.
To support the building of his “Dream Military”, this report notes, President Trump ordered American defense companies to stop stock buybacks and paying dividends because they are producing military equipment too slowly, and it was also observed: “President Trump threatened to kneecap a division of RTX, the world's second-largest defense contractor, if it did not step up and invest in plants and equipment...It was unclear how Trump could enforce such dictates on private companies, though his subsequent threat to Raytheon suggested he may cut federal contracts to firms he sees as out of compliance”.
While President Trump frees himself from international law as he builds his “Dream Military”, this report concludes, the Wall Street Journal worryingly assessed: “President Trump’s new “Donroe Doctrine”—loudly proclaimed by the seizure of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and the president’s assertion that Washington now “runs” the Latin American country—seeks to establish U.S. hegemony over the entire Western Hemisphere...The question America’s adversaries and allies are asking themselves in the aftermath of the Caracas raid is whether this embrace of 19th-century-style imperial thinking also means a pivot away from the rest of the world that would give China and Russia greater sway in their neighborhoods”.
