A foreboding new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin declared to the children of Russian military members during a Christmas service this morning: “You should be rightfully proud of your fathers and your mothers, as the Russian people have always been proud of their warriors...We often call the Lord the Savior because he came to earth to save all people...It is the same with our warriors, because they are always, under the direction of the Lord, on a mission to defend the Fatherland and its people...Russia has always viewed its warriors as carrying out a Holy Mission under the direction of the Lord”, says he then proclaimed to all the peoples of Russia: “This wonderful holiday illuminates the world with the light of kindness and love, giving millions hope and the joy of belonging to ancestral spiritual traditions passed down from generation to generation”.
Yesterday, on Orthodox Christmas Eve, this report notes, the Foreign Ministry issued the official statement: “Russia stands in solidarity with its long-time ally Venezuela in the face of blatant neo-colonial threats and external armed aggression”—a statement swiftly followed by ABC News revealing: “The United States has demanded that Venezuela cut economic ties with Russia, China, Iran, and Cuba if it wants to pump more oil”—then Politico warned: “The administration of President Donald Trump is demanding that Venezuela’s interim leader, Delcy Rodriguez, adopt a series of pro-American measures and then expects her to be removed once she complies”
In November, this report continues, the empty oil tanker ship Bella 1, now renamed the Marinera registered in Russia and flying the Russian flag, departed the Gulf of Oman, transiting the Suez Canal and the strait of Gibraltar before crossing the Atlantic in early December—on 10 December, it saw United States Attorney General Pam Bondi announcing that America had begun seizing oil tanker ships around Venezuela—the Marinera stopped abruptly near the Caribbean on 15 December and reversed course, heading back towards Europe—while in international waters, the Americans then attempted to seize the Marinera, but it successfully repelled all boarding attacks.
While a United States Coast Guard Cutter continues to pursue the empty oil tanker ship Marinera in the waters of the North Atlantic, this report details, CBS News reported: “U.S. forces are planning to intercept a sanctioned Russian-flagged oil tanker tied to the Venezuelan oil trade...The ship avoided a U.S. blockade of sanctioned oil tankers while en route to Venezuela on December 20, refusing to let the U.S. Coast Guard board the ship”—over the past 72-hours, the United States military has deployed special forces troops, surveillance aircraft and helicopter gunships into Britain—and the Wall Street Journal revealed today: “Russia has sent a submarine and other naval assets to escort an empty, rusting oil tanker that has become a new flashpoint in U.S.-Russia relations”.
In response to the United States risking World War III to seize an empty oil tanker, this report notes, the Foreign Ministry issued the statement: “For several days now, Marinera has been followed by a US Coast Guard ship, despite the fact that the vessel is located approximately 4,000 kilometers from the US coastline...At present, the vessel is navigating international waters of the North Atlantic under the state flag of the Russian Federation and in full compliance with international maritime law...At the same time, for reasons that remain unclear to us, the Russian vessel is receiving heightened attention from US and NATO military forces that is clearly disproportionate to its peaceful status...We expect that Western countries, which consistently declare their commitment to freedom of navigation on the high seas, will begin by adhering to this principle in their own actions”.
Yesterday evening, this report concludes, President Donald Trump posted the notice: “I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America”—a notice, however, that failed to mention the fact that the only oil tankers able to enter Venezuela because of war insurance costs belong to what the Western nations have branded the “shadow fleet”—and in knowing that the United States has no oil tankers other than those it can illegally seize to transport Venezuelan oil, a dozen or more shadow fleet oil tankers operating globally have switched from open registries to Russia over the past six months, and it was revealed today: “A similar feint was performed by five more tankers off the coast of Venezuela...Their owners changed their home ports to Sochi and Tanganrog, and the crews painted Russian flags on the stern of the ships”.
