A keenly perceptive new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump proclaimed last evening: “We’re gonna run Venezuela...If they don’t behave, we’ll do a second strike”, says he then warningly declared about interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez: “If she doesn’t do what’s right, she is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro”—Trump then threatened Colombia, warned: “Something’s going to have to be done with Mexico” and assessed about Cuba: “I think it’s just going to fall...I don’t think we need any action...Looks like it’s going down...It’s going down for the count”—the Wall Street Journal quickly observed: “Despite Mr. Trump’s vow that the U.S. will run the country, there is no one on the ground to do so”—and the New York Times warned: “The attack on Venezuela harks back to a different time, before the 19th century world order unraveled, before two catastrophic world wars, and before the creation of international legal and diplomatic structures designed to stop nations from doing exactly what the United States just did”.
Using the “distinction without a difference” informal fallacy where someone describes a distinction between two things where no discernible difference exist, this report notes, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whom the Americans branded the “Viceroy of Venezuela”, declared yesterday: “Well, it’s not running...It’s running policy, the policy with regard to this...We want Venezuela to move in a certain direction...What’s going to happen here is we have a quarantine on their oil, that means their economy will not be able to move forward until the conditions that are in the national interest of the United States and the interests of the Venezuelan people are met, and that’s what we intend to do”—the Wall Street Journal most factually observed today: “As Mr. Obama learned in Libya and President Bush discovered in post-Saddam Iraq, it is the after-party and not the event that causes the biggest headaches”, and its just published warning article “Venezuela’s Men With Guns Remain The Ultimate Power After Maduro’s Ouster” documents the vast power held by Venezuelan military and police officials now at war with the United States.
Immediately after the United States attacked Venezuela, this report continues, Katie Miller, the wife of White House Deputy National Security Advisor Stephen Miller, posted a map of Greenland overlaid with the American flag and captioned simply with the word “SOON”—President Trump then warningly proclaimed: “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security and Denmark is not going to be able to do it, I can tell you”—all of which explains why Denmark is in “crisis-mode” today.
As Denmark joins the rapidly growing list of countries under direct threat from the United States, this report details, economic articles are now appearing like “Global Defense Stocks Soar As U.S. Strike On Venezuela Heralds New ‘Hard Power’ Era”—joining soaring global defense stocks, shares of American oil giant Chevron have surged 7%, specifically because it holds a unique license from the Trump Administration that has allowed it to continue operating in Venezuela and sending oil to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast—but aside from Chevron, no Western oil company wants anything to do with Venezuela, as documented in just released warning articles like “Reviving Venezuela’s Flow Of Oil Will Not Come Easily Or Cheaply” and “Seizing Maduro? Quick. Fixing Venezuela’s Oil production? Years”.
In pushing back against the United States, this report notes, the Indian Foreign Ministry issued the statement: “Recent developments in Venezuela are a matter of deep concern...We call upon all concerned to address issues peacefully through dialogue, ensuring peace and stability of the region”—a statement of peace swiftly followed by President Trump issuing the direct threat against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi because he won’t stop buying Russian oil: “Modi is a good guy...He knew I was not happy, and it was important to make me happy...They do trade, and we can raise tariffs on them very quickly”.
Not caring at all about what makes President Trump happy, this report continues, the Chinese Foreign Ministry issued the blistering statement: “China shocked by and strongly condemns the US’s blatant use deeply is its of force against a sovereign state and action against president...Such hegemonic acts of the US seriously violate international law and Venezuela’s sovereignty, and threaten peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean region”—and was a blistering statement joined with the warning revelation: “China silver export restrictions through new licensing frameworks beginning January 2026 represent a fundamental shift in global precious metals dynamics...This policy transformation affects approximately 60-70% of global silver supply that has historically flowed from Chinese mining operations to Western markets”.
Along with the news today: “Mining legend Frank Giustra is warning investors in his latest commentary that a “bare-knuckle fight” is brewing in the commodity sector between Western and Eastern markets, with silver emerging as the latest weapon of choice”, this report details, it was also warningly observed: “Currently trading at just over 72 dollars per ounce as of 4-Jan-2026, silver is currently the big mover and it seems it may be on track to break free of the price-fixing that has devalued it for a very long time...There appears to be a shortage of silver reserves globally and silver is required for all sorts of electronic devices and other products, from electrical contacts and computer circuitry to solar panels and batteries for electric vehicles, medical equipment, etc., and the demand seems to be increasing exponentially...Because of its unique properties, there is apparently no known alternative to silver for many of these products”.
As for any silver lining wished for by President Trump and his Viceroy of Venezuela after their attack operation, this report concludes, it was just revealed: “Venezuela went dark on December 23, 2025...Between 2:47 AM and 8:41 AM Caracas time, eleven aircraft departed Venezuelan airspace carrying what flight manifests described as mining equipment...Cargo weight from Russian Antonov AN-124s alone: approximately 1,200 tons...That's 38 million ounces of refined silver...Venezuela's strategic silver reserves were estimated at 850 tons as of December 2024...Post-operation inventory: 3 tons remaining in central bank vaults...847 tons departed on those flights...Two Chinese-registered COSCO Shipping aircraft (state-owned) disappeared from civilian radar immediately after takeoff...Flight tracking shows Russian aircraft made stops at Minsk (transshipment point), Astana (Eurasian processing hub), Moscow (strategic reserve complex)...Chinese flight destinations remain classified”.
