A beyond gobsmacking new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin is preparing to meet with Special Envoy Steve Witcoff, says top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov revealed to reporters about the meeting: “President Putin and Mr. Witkoff will have an opportunity to review the understandings reached between Kiev and Washington regarding possible paths toward a settlement”.
The understandings reached between Kiev and Washington about possibly settling the Ukraine conflict, this report notes, occurred when Special Envoy Witcoff, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio met for talks with Ukrainian negotiators in Miami on Sunday—and were talks strangely followed by Special Envoy Witcoff departing for Moscow to meet with President Putin, not America’s top diplomat Secretary of State Rubio.
