Russians On Orthodox
Christmas Declare “We Want To Believe In
Miracles”

An insightful new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Putin celebrated Orthodox Christmas with the wives and children of soldiers who have lost their lives in the Ukraine conflict, says during this celebration he told them: “One can safely say that this holiday is characterized by a strongly-pronounced fraternal unity of the peoples of Russia...Many of our men, our courageous, heroic men, Russian warriors, even now, on this holiday, defend the interests of our country with arms in hand...I’m not going to talk about the very subtle, difficult issues concerning your families...But I want to assure you once again that we will always be by your side”.
In a typical example of the fraternal unity of the peoples of Russia on Orthodox Christmas, this report notes, greeting declarations like “We want to believe in miracles” were widely shared—but in sad contrast, world-renowned United States constitutional scholar Professor Jonathan Turley of Georgetown University bleakly observed about what the under socialist siege American peoples are facing on this holiest of holidays: “The Biden administration is the most anti-free-speech administration since the administration of John Adams...I mean, his administration has carried out what a federal court called an Orwellian censorship program with the help of social media companies”.
In noticing the Orwellian censorship program slammed on the American peoples by the socialist Biden Regime and leftist social media companies, this report continues, world-renowned Turkish historian Tarik Cyril Amar, in his just released open letter “Russophrenia: The West Can’t Decide Whether Russia Is A Pussycat Or A Lion”, observed:
Here’s a little experiment
that you can replicate at home: Type ‘Russia
Danger’ into Google
(or Bing, or whatever search engine you like, but it probably has to be in
English or another NATO-affiliated language; say German or French or
Polish). Peruse the results.
Then type ‘Russia Weak’ and repeat.
Funny, isn’t it? Both searches
will net you a rich catch of links and titles, of opinion pieces, longform articles, surveys and so on, depicting a dangerous

It is crucial to understand
that this Western pattern is not merely about passive observation. On the contrary, there is a proactive aspect
to it: We can read the last decades,
essentially since the end of the Soviet Union, as marked by the West’s
obstinate attempt to not only imagine Russia as backward and weak. Rather,
That shift illustrates the
single most depressing thing about the West’s views of
But it never actually learns.
All it does, collectively and with all too few
exceptions, is alternate between different frameworks of stereotypes. What a missed opportunity. Again and again.
Among those not suffering any confusion about Russia, this report details, is world-renowned global security expert retired Colonel Jacque Baud of the Swiss strategic intelligence service, who headed peacekeeping missions for NATO and the United Nations—his latest book is “Governing By Fake News: 30 Years Of Fake News In The West”—and in an essay published by the French Intelligence Research Center about the origins of the current conflict in Ukraine factually assessed: “Let's examine the roots of the conflict!...It all started with those who have been talking to us about "separatists" or the "independence" of Donbass for the past eight years...This is a mistake...The referendums of the two self-proclaimed republics, Donetsk and Luhansk, held in May 2014 were not "independence" referendums, as some unscrupulous journalists claimed, but "self-determination" or "autonomy"...The term "pro-Russian" implies that Russia was also a party to the conflict, which is not true, using the term "Russian speakers" would have been more fair...Moreover, the referendums were held against Vladimir Putin's advice...In fact, these republics did not seek secession from Ukraine, but an autonomy statute that would guarantee them the use of Russian as an official language”.
Though President Putin didn’t want to see Ukraine split apart, this report notes, he couldn’t ignore that the Ukrainian Regime had amassed a neo-Nazi army armed with Western weapons to exterminate its Russian speaking peoples, so he ordered the “Special De-Nazification Operation”, about which Colonel Baud most accurately and honestly assessed: “All the conditions that existed in Donbass at that time gave legitimacy to the Russian action in Donbass...So next is the problem of legality...The Russians understood that very well...First of all, the Russians are a people who are very legalistic...We know that this is a subject that the authorities uphold...It was even the same with the Soviets long ago...It’s surprising, but that’s the way it is...Then the following thing happened...In order to intervene under the principle of the responsibility to protect, Russia invoked Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, which authorizes intervention for the benefit of a population...In reality, the policy of Russia is legitimate, and it is legal”.
Earlier today, this report concludes, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) revealed: “Since the beginning of the special operation, 565 Ukrainian military aircraft, 265 helicopters, 10,488 unmanned aerial vehicles, 447 anti-aircraft missile systems, 14,494 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,201 multiple launch rocket systems, 7,645 field artillery pieces and mortars, as well as 17,121 units of special military vehicle equipment have been destroyed”—and is a beyond staggering destruction of tens-of-billions of dollars worth of Western military equipment provided to Ukraine joined by Colonel Baud warningly observing this past week:
The problem with the vast majority of our
so-called military experts is their inability to understand the Russian
approach to war.
It is the result of an
approach we have already seen in waves of terrorist attacks—the adversary is so stupidly demonized that we refrain from
understanding his way of thinking.
As a result, we are unable
to develop strategies, articulate our forces, or even equip them for the
realities of war.
The corollary of this approach is that our
frustrations are translated by unscrupulous media into a narrative that feeds
hatred and increases our vulnerability.
We are thus unable to find
rational, effective solutions to the problem. . . .
The reason the Russians are better than the West

The Russians see events as
a film. We see them as photographs.
They see the forest, while
we focus on the trees.
That is why we place the
start of the conflict on February 24, 2022, or the start of the Palestinian
conflict on October 7, 2023.
We ignore the contexts that bother us and wage
conflicts we do not understand.
That is why we lose our wars.
