Pushed To The Brink: Americans Near Point Of Open Rebellion

Reports from coming from the United States today are showing that American citizens are nearing the point of open rebellion against their government as the Global economic crisis continues to throw tens of millions of these people out of work, while at the same time their government and banks continue to pile new taxes, fees and exorbitant interest rates at a rate unprecedented in modern history.

So egregious has the situation become for millions of ordinary Americans that today, April 15, over 800 US Cities are being faced with what are being called ‘Tea Party’ protests that the Wall Street Journal News Service states was started by “ordinary folks using the power of the Internet to organize”, and further states, “what's most striking about the tea-party movement is that most of the organizers haven't ever organized, or even participated, in a protest rally before. General disgust has drawn a lot of people off the sidelines and into the political arena, and they are already planning for political action after today.”

To the future facing these Americans, President Obama, along with financial experts, have warned that the current recession is ‘far from over’, the Moody’s investor service has just downgraded the entire United States credit rating for their States and cities, all at the same time the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is reporting a surge of US citizens unable to pay their taxes.

Even worse for these Americans is that while their Federal Government has given, and is continuing to give, their corrupt banks and Wall Street firms hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars, the average US family was given a ‘tax break’ equaling a measly $13 a week, but which has been more than offset by a crushing burden of new taxes and fees that have seen their bank fees and interest rates rise to obscene levels, cigarette prices rise by $3.10 a pack, their cell phones being taxed at rates up to 33% and many cities now making these people pay for emergency services previously paid for with their taxes.

Russian economists point out that by crushing the American people with taxes, fees, fines and any other source of revenue they can think of, the United States is ‘writing its own death warrant’ as in a consumer society such as the US, when people are no longer able to afford their taxes they quit spending on everything outside of the barest necessities which then leads to the vicious downward spiral their economy is now experiencing.

The Forbes News Service is reporting that the dire predictions of these Russian economists are coming true, and as we can read: “With the economy cratering, Americans are stashing their cash and have boosted the savings rate to 5%, according to the Commerce Department, the highest rate in 13 years. That's bad news for state governments, as money being saved instead of spent cannot be taxed.”

It is interesting to note, too, that it is not just the American people who are begging to revolt against their government, but many US States are now joining what is being called the States Rights Movement which seeks to break the power of the Federal Government of President Obama and which was just joined this past week by Texas Governor Rick Perry who stated:

“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state. That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”

It does not appear, though, that President Obama is going to cede any of his or the US Federal Governments powers back to either its citizens of its States, as this past week, the US Department of Homeland Security sent out to all American military and police forces a warning document titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” that puts these tax protesters and States rights advocates squarely in the category of “terrorists” in the eyes of their government.

So frightening to these Americans about this warning document is that it now makes millions of these heretofore peaceful citizens’ terrorists, and as stated in the conclusion of the Blacklisted News Services’ report on this new assault against these peoples:

“The document is designed primarily to radicalize local law enforcement and convince individual police officers that citizens opposed to violations of the Second Amendment, draconian gun legislation (including registration and ammunition tracking schemes) and illegal immigration are terrorists capable of committing acts of violence against them. It is a cynical effort to increase the tension between police and the community at large, especially members of the community that exercise the Second Amendment and oppose open border policies.

In addition, the document equates opposition to the policies of Barack Obama to racism. Opposition to "a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use" is characterized as exploiting "racial and political prejudices."

Obviously, the document is part of a larger campaign by the government to circumvent legitimate political activism and characterize such activity as the behavior of a violent minority of terrorists. It is noteworthy that several issues of concern to our rulers — namely firearm possession and the effort to flood the country with lower paid workers and thus undermine the middle class — are highlighted in this until now secret and restricted document.”

But to the coming battles against their own now ‘terrorist’ citizens, President Obama is about to gain even more frightening power, and as we can read as reported by the Electronic Frontier Foundation:

“There's a new bill working its way through Congress that is cause for some alarm: the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 (PDF summary here), introduced by Senators Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME). The bill as it exists now risks giving the federal government unprecedented power over the Internet without necessarily improving security in the ways that matter most. It should be opposed or radically amended.

Essentially, the Act would federalize critical infrastructure security. Since many of our critical infrastructure systems (banks, telecommunications, energy) are in the hands of the private sector, the bill would create a major shift of power away from users and companies to the federal government. This is a potentially dangerous approach that favors the dramatic over the sober response.

One proposed provision gives the President unfettered authority to shut down Internet traffic in an emergency and disconnect critical infrastructure systems on national security grounds goes too far. Certainly there are times when a network owner must block harmful traffic, but the bill gives no guidance on when or how the President could responsibly pull the kill switch on privately-owned and operated networks.

Furthermore, the bill contains a particularly dangerous provision that could cripple privacy and security in one fell swoop:

The Secretary of Commerce— shall have access to all relevant data concerning (critical infrastructure) networks without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule, or policy restricting such access…

In other words, the bill would give the Commerce Department absolute, non-emergency access to “all relevant data” without any privacy safeguards like standards or judicial review.”

To the worst of the titanic changes these American people will undergo, however, the worst events have not even occurred, as with all historical comparisons of this type, put into their proper context, and with over 45% of the World’s wealth having evaporated in this latest crisis, and with billionaire investor George Soros stating that all of the major US banks are essentially bankrupt, and with the US Federal Reserve forced to buy American Government debt no one else in the World will now buy, it is now being reported:

“For the first time ever, the Pentagon is playing a war game that is focused on “economic” warfare, instead of a war fought with missiles and possible nukes. One of their key findings involved China selling off American dollars and debt. Apparently the war gamers found a way for China to hit us where it hurts.”

It goes without saying that the vast majority of these American people have virtually no knowledge of the catastrophes about to befall them, as can also be said of all those other Nations throughout history that have failed to learn our World’s most precious secret for survival….preparation.

Informes procedentes de los Estados Unidos el día de hoy están revelando que los ciudadanos Estadounidenses se acercan al punto de una franca rebelión contra su gobierno pues la crisis económica global continua lanzando a decenas de millones de ese pueblo fuera de sus empleos y al mismo tiempo su gobierno y bancos siguen acumulándoles nuevos impuestos, cuotas y exorbitantes tasas de interés a un paso sin precedentes en la historia moderna.

Tan atroz se ha vuelto la situación para millones de Estadounidenses comunes que hoy, 15 de abril, más de 800 ciudades de ese país se están enfrentando a lo que se ha llamado protestas ‘Fiestas de Té’ que el servicio noticioso del Wall Street Journal señala fueron iniciadas por ‘sujetos comunes usando el poder de la Internet para organizarlas’ y además apunta que ‘lo que es más sorprende sobre el movimiento de la Fiesta de Té es que la mayoría de los organizadores nunca habían organizado ni siquiera participado antes en una manifestación de protesta. El disgusto general ha jalado a más gente que se mantenían al margen hacia la arena política y ya están planeando acciones políticas posteriores a este día”.

En cuanto al futuro que está ya de cara a estos Estadounidenses, el Presidente Obama, junto con expertos financieros, ha advertido que la recesión actual está ‘lejos de terminarse’, el servicio de inversiones Moody acaba de bajar de categoría a todo el puntaje de crédito de los Estados Unidos para sus Estados y ciudades, todo al mismo tiempo que el Fisco (IRS) está reportando una oleada de ciudadanos que no pueden pagar sus impuestos.

Todavía peor para estos Estadounidenses es que mientras el Gobierno Federal ha dado y continúa dando, a sus corruptos bancos y a las firmas de Wall Street, cientos de billones de Dólares de los contribuyentes, a la familia promedio Estadounidense se le ha dado un ‘receso de impuestos’ igual a miserables $ 13 dólares a la semana, pero que ha sido más una compensación por una carga aplastante de nuevos impuestos y cuotas que han visto elevarse sus cuotas bancarias y tasas de interés a niveles impúdicos, los precios de los cigarrillos subieron a $ 13.10 por cajetilla, los teléfonos celulares deben pagar impuestos a tasas arriba del 33% y muchas ciudades ahora están haciendo pagar a estas gentes por los servicios de emergencia que ya fueron cubiertos con sus impuestos.

El servicio noticioso de Forbes está informando que las horrendas predicciones de estos economistas Rusos se están convirtiendo en realidad, como lo podemos leer: “Con la economía haciendo explosión, los Estadounidenses están escondiendo su dinero en efectivo y han impulsado la tasa del ahorro al 5%, según el Departamento de Comercio, la tasa más alta en 13 años. Esas son malas noticias para el gobierno, pues el dinero ahorrado en lugar del gastado, no puede gravarse.

Es interesante hacer la observación, además, de que no es sólo el pueblo Estadounidense el que está rogando sublevarse contra su gobierno, sino muchos Estados de ese país se están uniendo ya a lo que se llama Movimiento de los Derechos de los Estados que busca romper el poder del Gobierno Federal del Presidente Obama y al que se acaba de unir esta semana pasada el Gobernador de Texas, Rick Perry quien expresó:

“Creo que nuestro gobierno federal se ha vuelto un opresor en su tamaño, su intrusión en las vidas de nuestros ciudadanos y su interferencia en los asuntos de nuestro Estado. Esa es la razón por la que hoy, aquí, expreso mi resuelto respaldo a los esfuerzos en todo el país para reafirmar los derechos de los Estados de la Décima Enmienda hecha a la Constitución de los Estados Unidos. Creo que el regreso al texto literal y espíritu de la Constitución Estadounidense y su fundamental Décima Enmienda liberará a nuestro estado de reglamentos indebidos y a la postre fortalecerá a nuestra Unión”.

Aunque no parece que el Presidente Obama vaya a ceder ninguno de sus poderes ni los del Gobierno Federal ni a sus ciudadanos de sus Estados, pues esta semana pasada, el Departamento de Seguridad del Suelo Patrio hizo llegar a todas sus fuerzas militares y policiales un documento de advertencia titulado “Extremismo de Derecha: El Clima Político y Económico Actual Promueve la Resurgencia en la Radicalización y el Reclutamiento” que coloca llanamente a estos manifestantes que protestan por los impuestos y a los que abogan por los derechos de los Estados en la categoría de ‘terroristas’ a los ojos de su gobierno.

Tan alarmante es este documento sobre estos Estadounidenses que ahora hace ‘terroristas’ a millones de estos ciudadanos pacíficos, y como se menciona en la conclusión del informe del servicio noticioso Blacklisted (En la Lista Negra) de este nuevo asalto contra esta gente:

“El documento está diseñado antes que nada para radicalizar el cumplimento de las leyes locales y convencer a los oficiales policíacos en lo individual de que los ciudadanos que se oponen a las violaciones de la Segunda Enmienda, la legislación draconiana sobre las armas (incluyendo los esquemas de registro y localización de parque) y la inmigración ilegal son terroristas capaces de cometer actos de violencia contra ellos. Es un esfuerzo cínico para aumentar la tensión entre la policía y la comunidad de manera amplia, especialmente los miembros de la comunidad que ejercen la Segunda Enmienda y se oponen a las políticas de fronteras abiertas.

Además, el documento equipara la oposición de las políticas de Barack Obama al racismo. La Oposición a “una serie de temas, incluyendo la inmigración y la ciudadanía, la expansión de programas sociales para las minorías y las restricciones a la propiedad y uso de armas de fuego” se caracteriza por sacar provecho de los “prejuicios raciales y políticos”.

Obviamente, el documento es parte de una campaña más grande por parte del gobierno para enmarañar el activismo político legítimo y caracterizar tal actividad como el comportamiento de una violenta minoría de terroristas. Vale la pena señalar que varios temas de interés para nuestros gobernantes – específicamente la posesión de armas de fuego y el esfuerzo por inundar el país con trabajadores de pagas más bajas y de ese modo socavar a la clase media – son puestos de relieve en este, hasta ahora, documento secreto y restringido”.

Pero en cuanto a las batallas por venir contra sus propios ciudadanos ahora ‘terroristas’, el Presidente Obama está a punto de conquistar un poder más aterrador, como lo podemos leer según lo informa la Electronic Frontier Foundation:

“Existe una nueva iniciativa de ley que se va abriendo paso en el Congreso que es causa de algo de alarma: el Acta de Cyber-Seguridad de 2009 (resumen en PDF aquí), presentada por los Senadores Jay Rockefeller (Demócrata/Estado Virgina Occidental) y Olimpia Snow (Republicana/Maine). La iniciativa como está ahora expone el riesgo de dar al gobierno federal un poder sin precedentes sobre la Internet sin necesariamente mejorar la seguridad en modos que importen más. Se le debe presentar oposición o debe ser enmendada de manera radical.

En principio, el Acta federalizaría la seguridad de la infraestructura crítica. Como muchos de los sistemas de la infraestructura crítica (bancos, telecomunicaciones, energía) están en manos del sector privado, la iniciativa crearía un muy importante cambio de poder de los usuarios y compañías privadas hacia el gobierno federal. El Secretario de Comercio – tendrá acceso a toda la información relevante relacionada con las redes (de infraestructura crítica) sin tomaren consideración ninguna cláusula de ley, reglamento, regulación o política que restrinja tal acceso.

En otras palabras, la iniciativa daría al Departamento de Comercio, un acceso absoluto de no emergencia a “toda la información relevante’ sin salvaguardas de la privacidad como estándares o revisión judicial”.

En lo referente a los titánicos cambios que sufrirán estos Estadounidenses, no obstante, los peores no han ocurrido aún, como con todas las comparaciones históricas de este tipo, puesto en su debido contexto, y con más del 45% de la riqueza del mundo evaporándose en esta crisis y con el inversionista billonario George Soros señalando que todos los bancos importantes de los Estados Unidos están esencialmente en bancarrota, y con la Reserva Federal obligada a comprar la deuda del gobierno que nadie más en este planeta compraría ahora, se está informando que:

“Por primera vez, el Pentágono está llevando a cabo un juego de guerra que está enfocado a operaciones militares “económicas”, en lugar de una guerra librada con mísiles y posibles bombas nucleares.
