Devastation Looms As United States Economy Implodes Amidst ‘Near Total’ Crop Failures In North America

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Russian Subscribers

The devastation currently being imposed upon the peoples of the United States has increased dramatically this week with their economy and agricultural production being decimated, one by deliberate design, the other by natural forces.

To what the Military Leaders of the United States had long proclaimed was the World’s first ‘New World Society’, and developed as a ‘Consumer Economy’, the evidence of this comically tragic economic experiment has met its final demise, and as we can see evidenced as reported by the Dow Jones Market Watch News Service in their article titled "Recession will be nasty and deep, economist says", and which says:

"The United States is headed for a recession that will be "much nastier, deeper and more protracted" than the 2001 recession, says Nouriel Roubini, president of Roubini Global Economics. Roubini wrote after the National Association of Realtors reported Wednesday that sales of existing homes fell 4.1% in July, while inventories soared to a 13-year high and prices flattened out on a year-over-year basis.

"This is the biggest housing slump in the last four or five decades: every housing indicator is in free fall, including now housing prices," Roubini said. The decline in investment in the housing sector will exceed the drop in investment when the Nasdaq collapsed in 2000 and 2001, he said. And the impact of the bursting of the bubble will affect every household in America, not just the few people who owned significant shares in technology companies during the dot-com boom, he said. Prices are falling even in the Midwest, which never experienced a bubble, "a scary signal" of how much pain the drop in household wealth could cause."

To a Nation that immediately after World War II was the World’s largest creditor, had the highest savings rate in the World, and was the largest industrial country the World had ever seen; the experiment of turning the United States into a consumer nation, instead of its historically based industrial and agriculturally based society, has seen this once mighty nation plunged into an economic implosion not seen since the collapse of the Soviet Empire of last century.

It is important to also note that the United States Empire, and like the Soviet Empire preceding it, is meeting its economic downfall at the same time as it attempts to expand its World influence; and again like the Soviet Empire, based upon a war based economy, but which is meeting a tragic, and expensive, end.

Like the Communists of the Soviet Union had learned after the devastating war in Afghanistan, a Nations ability to protect its economy against total collapse depends upon its ability to protect its private sector when economic chaos looms, but which cannot be done during times of war as all state resources for recovery have been spent on war debt, and which we can see evidenced in the United States today, and as reported by the Washington Times News Service in their article titled  "Cost of Iraq war: $1,075 each", and which says:

"The National Priorities Project has calculated the cost of the Iraq war by congressional district, city, state and even household. You owe $1,075.

The NPP bills itself as a non-partisan, non-profit organization that uses government data to illustrate the impact of federal policies on local communities. It targets large ticket government programs and tax breaks -- mostly dear to Republicans -- for scrutiny, including tax breaks for the top 1 percent of earners, the cost of missile defense, maintaining a massive nuclear weapon arsenal, and the Iraq war.

NPP bases its Iraq war calculations on a Congressional Research Service report from June, which totaled the war at $318.5 billion. "That is $2,844 for every American household or $1,075 for every American. The money (already spent or allocated) is being spent at a rate $10 million per hour and $244 million per day," according to NPP."

These added war costs owed by the American people stands on top of the already $28,000 these people owe to their International Creditors due to their over $8 Trillion public debt, and which does not include these peoples private debts, and which since the collapse of their Stock Market in the late 1990’s due to their ‘Internet Bubble’ has transformed these once economic savvy people into persons who have no regard for economic sanity, and as rightly reported by the Fox News Service in 2004, and who said:

"Throughout the 1960s, '70s, '80s, and '90s, households showed a surplus of varying degrees. It wasn't until 1999 — for the first time in about 50 years — that U.S. households started spending more than they took in. What started as a small deficit of about $50 billion among households quickly spiked to a deficit of more than $350 billion in the second quarter of this year."

This propensity of the American people to spend money, for consumer goods, beyond what their incomes could support was, however, supported by the value of their private homes, and which many World economists have described these Americans as using like Cash Machines, instead of protecting their values as long term investments. But today the false illusions of these Americans, and who many believed in the child’s tale of never-ending-wealth, have collapsed into a nightmare as no more money remains to take out of their homes, and no prospect of selling their homes either as all of these Americans are in the same dilemma.

Coinciding with the collapse of the American economy is the near total collapse of their ability to feed themselves, as the massive, and catastrophic drought, affecting all of North America continues, and which we have reported on many times, including our August 13th report titled "Death of America Looms as Catastrophic Events Plunge Nation Towards Ecocide", and which is exacting a tragic toll upon that Nations farmers, many of whom are now crying for their fellow citizens attention but are likewise being silenced by their Military Leaders and Media organs from warning them of the devastation to come.

From the farmers of the United States North Dakota Region, and who have signed a mass petition for disaster drought relief, to the cattle ranchers of the United States Southwest, and who have warned…

"In a letter to the Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico congressional delegations, Sherron and Gillcrist noted that there was very little water and very little grass left in many areas.  Livestock-related losses have already reached $1.6 billion in Texas alone.  “A drought of historic proportions faces us, already equal to that of the 1950s,” they pointed out.

It is estimated that 77 percent of Texas’ hay production has been lost.  As of August 15, Oklahoma had an 80% poor to very poor pasture and range rating—making the state tied for the worst conditions in the lower 48 states.  Rising hay and supplemental feed costs are forcing many ranchers to sell brood cows that normally would not go to market.  Others are liquidating their entire herds."

…the American people remain to this day in virtual ignorance of the horrific damage being done to their Nation by this catastrophic drought.

But to the worst prospects for these American peoples the warnings are also being sounded by their own researchers, one of whom which, Brabant Research Inc., has stated:

"What we are seeing in the global warming picture is record heat and less-than-average rains, especially across North America. But, at Brabant Research Inc., we do biological and botanical research, primary research, (that means we actually do all the analytical testing as well as the field and lab research work), and we've been looking at the global warming picture since 1995 from an analytical and plant physiology viewpoint. All that experience makes us wonder, where are the real alarmists? Let me explain:

An increase of 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit doesn't just mean it's warmer. It means that plants, especially temperate climate plants (not tropical plants), have to keep cool by increasing the rate of transrespiration, moving water throughout the plant. That's how plants "keep cool."

But an increase in daytime temperatures of 10 degrees Fahrenheit equates to a 50 percent increase in transrespiration in most temperate climate plants, less in some, more in others. The water doesn't circulate in the plant, go up then down and all around, it comes out of the leaf stomas (openings) as water vapor. That's part of what humidity is, plant sweat.

Now, with 50 percent of the U.S. currently in one form or another of drought, and plants needing an increase of roughly 50 percent of water movement, doesn't this mean that the plants are using the ground water at half again the normal rate? And, we've established, the ground water (rain) replenishment rate is at drought levels, yes?

That's my point here: Most plant physiologists, most botanists, most biologists know these simple plant facts. Where are they in this "debate" about global warming?

Where are the real alarmists who should be shouting at the tops of their lungs that a major calamity is scheduled to befall the North American continent unless global warming is brought to a halt now. Not 10 years from now, not five years from now. Now!"

Not just to those crops devastated by the North American drought either are these Americans having to cope with, but also their ability to sell what crops they have been able to produce has been dealt a severe blow due to genetic contamination, and as we can read as reported by the USA Today News Service in their article titled "EU to U.S.: Keep genetically engineered rice to yourself", and which says:

"The European Union said Wednesday that it would require that all long-grain rice imported from the USA be certified as free of unauthorized genetically engineered grains.

Rice futures at the Chicago Board of Trade fell by more than 5% Wednesday, the sharpest one-day decline in years. The developments follow the discovery last week of tiny amounts of genetically engineered rice in the commercial U.S. crop. Europe imports 264,000 tons of long-grain rice from the USA each year, according to the EU, a collaboration of 25 European nations. Genetically engineered long-grain rice has been tested but is not grown commercially in the USA."

It should also be noted that though almost every Nation in the World has suspended purchases of this genetically contaminated rice it is still being allowed to enter the American food stream for consumption by its citizens.

This should not be surprising to us as this is a country which is also currently embroiled in a dramatic fight with its own cattle farmers in trying to stop them from testing for the American people their beef for the dreaded Mad Cow Disease, and as we can read as reported by the Farm Futures News Service in their article titled "USDA Wants Extension on Deadline for Private BSE Testing Case", and which says:

"Thursday the United States Department of Agriculture asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for a four-week extension of the previously agreed-to deadline for responding to Creekstone's Motion for Summary Judgment. If the government's request for an extension of time, which Creekstone did not oppose, is granted, USDA's response would have to be filed on or before September 22, and briefing on the Summary Judgment Motion would be completed on November 6, 2006. On Friday, July 14th, Creekstone Farms asked the court to strike down regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture that prohibit private companies from testing slaughtered cattle for bovine spongiform encephalopathy."

To the near future of the Americans ability to be able to feed themselves it remains in doubt, not just due to their inability to purchase grain stocks on the World market due to their bankrupt status, but even worse in that with each passing day more of the World’s Nations are reporting similar catastrophic collapses in their ability to produce food, and where China has just released the horrific figures from their drought, and as we can read as reported by the Reuters News Service in their article titled "Millions of tonnes of grain lost in China drought", and which says:

"A drought in southwest China, the worst in 50 years, has led to the loss of five million tonnes of grain and damaged more than two million hectares (7,700 sq miles) of farmland, state media said on Thursday. State media has estimated that the drought, which has also hit neighboring Chongqing, has cost farmers more than $1 billion. It has not said whether there have been any deaths. More than half Sichuan's counties were drought-stricken and almost 10 million people had restricted access to drinking water, the newspaper said."

To the greater significance of these events, however, lies in their overall design to collapse the United States, and its peoples, into Civil War leading to the disintegration of the United States into smaller Nation States, and which the Americans began with the destruction of the European Nation of Yugoslavia, and which now the US Military Leaders are seeking to enshrine in International Law, but to which Russia is strenuously objecting to, and as we can read as reported by the Moscow Times News Service in their article titled "Kosovo Independence Fraught With Risks — Russia", and which says:

"A Russian government minister says independence for Serbia’s Kosovo province could set a risky precedent for other contested regions. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said if independence of Kosovo is granted from Serbia, “a clear precedent will be set in international law that cannot but be projected onto other frozen conflicts,” the RIA Novosti news agency reported Wednesday.

“This applies not only to the post-Soviet space, but also to other regions,” Karasin said in an interview with Moscow’s Izvestia newspaper. Karasin said that unlike the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia, Kosovo independence was being claimed not by a republic as part of a federation but by an autonomy as part of a federation."

Not just have we been warning these American peoples of the plans to plunge their Nation into both Civil War and destruction, but now the cry has gone up in the United States itself by one of their leading political figures, and as we can read as reported by the News Max News Service in their article titled "Pat Buchanan Warns of 'State of Emergency', and which says:

"The children born in 2006 will witness in their lifetime the death of the West.” So writes syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan in a compelling new book, "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America.”

According to the Drudge Report, Buchanan’s sure-to-be-controversial work "is designed to jolt readers with stats and analysis of illegal immigration gone dangerously wild.” Drudge cites these troubling disclosures from "State of Emergency,” which TownHall.com calls Buchanan’s "most important book to date”:

One in every 12 people "breaking into” America has a criminal record.

By 2050, there will be 100 million Hispanics concentrated in the U.S. Southwest.

Between 10 and 20 percent of the populations of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean have already moved to the U.S.

Each month, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens entering the country, 150,000, than there are American troops in Iraq.

Buchanan charges the Mexican regime with mounting a conscious effort to use the U.S. as a dumping ground for its poor and unemployed to relieve social pressure and bring about what would amount to a re-annexation of the American Southwest, Drudge reports."La Reconquista, the reconquest of the lands lost by Mexico in the Mexican-American War, Buchanan charges, is underway.”

To the greater masses of the American people their remains virtually no knowledge of the catastrophes ready to befall them, but not from want of those warning them, but rather from their inability to awaken from the drugged sleep that now constitutes these once great peoples lives….both to their shame, and their doom.
