Pakistan Issues Nuclear Attack Warning Against US

As the troubled Muslim nation of Pakistan falls into further chaos, its embattled President, General Musharraf, has ordered his country’s nuclear forces to their ‘highest alert’, according to Russian Military Analysts in their reports to the Kremlin today.

The concerns of the Pakistanis center around the threat by the United States that they could soon be attack Pakistan with American Military Forces, but to which Pakistan has responded:

"Pakistan has made clear it will not tolerate a US military operation against Osama bin Laden or other al-Qa'ida targets inside its territory, as Washington continues to push President Pervez Musharraf to do more to confront militants.

"Any attack inside our territory would be unacceptable," a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Tasnim Aslam, said. "Any such action would be irresponsible and dangerous. We are combating terrorism in our own interest. We do not want our efforts to be undermined by any ill-conceived action from any quarter that is inconsistent with the principles of international law."

Analysts say the rebuff - triggered by comments over the weekend by US officials claiming it maintained the right to strike suspected terrorism targets anywhere - represents a rare public glimpse of intense private negotiations between the governments."

These reports further state that a part of the ‘rare public glimpse’ into the private negotiations currently ongoing between Pakistan and the US Military Regime was this mornings firing by Pakistani Nuclear Forces one of their feared cruise missiles, and as we can read as reported by the Jerusalem Post News Service:

"Pakistan said it successfully test-fired a cruise missile Thursday capable of delivering nuclear warheads deep into India. The military says it has extended the range of the missile, first tested in 2005, to 700 kilometers - enough to reach New Delhi, the capital of archrival India."

To the dangers facing Pakistan by the continued rule of the US backed Dictator General Musharraf we can also read as reported from one of the last of the freely elected leaders of that Muslim nation, Benazir Bhutto:

"In the view of my party military dictatorship fuels the forces of extremism by putting into place a government that is unaccountable, unrepresentative, undemocratic and unable to fulfill the aspirations of the great and hardworking people of Pakistan.

Military dictatorship born from the power of the gun undermines the concept of the rule of law and gives birth to a culture of weapons, violence and intolerance. The suppression of democracy in my homeland has had profound institutional consequences; the major infrastructural building blocs of democracy have been weakened, political parties have been marginalized, NGOs dismantled, judges sacked and civil society undermined.

The Red Mosque incident that we saw earlier this month is the direct result of an eight-year military regime's policy of the so-called Islamisation of my nation. Just as the military establishment of the 80s used the so-called Islamic card to promote military dictatorship while demonizing political parties so too has the military dictatorship of the 21st century used the so-called Islamic card to pressure the international community into backing military dictatorship in Pakistan.

It is sometimes argued in the west traumatized by terrorism that a military regime is the only thing that stands in the way of a nuclear-armed fundamentalist Pakistan. Nothing can be further from the truth. The militant dictatorship needs the external crutch of a militant threat to justify its existence to the international community. Whether in the east or the west dictatorship fuels extremism rather than contains it. "

These reports state the United States is unlikely to be persuaded by either Pakistan’s threats, or their nuclear capability, as their plans for an August war against both Iran and Syria will now, undoubtedly, also target Pakistan. This is due to the Americans continued fear of Pakistan’s Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) which was responsible for the establishment and continued support of Afghanistan’s Taliban Forces.

It is also apparent that America’s War Leaders have firmly decided upon this massive expansion of their war as their propaganda media outlets have begun ramping up their campaign of fear among their citizens towards the Muslim World.

But, being missed by the American people themselves is that what will be used as their ‘main pretext’ by their War Leaders for an attack on Pakistan, Usama Bin Laden, and who they state is responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks upon American, has only this charge alleged against him by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI):

"Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world."

To the more likely beginning of events expanding their war, however, we can read as reported by Russia’s RIA Novosti News Service:

"A former Reagan official has issued a public warning that the Bush administration is preparing to orchestrate a staged terrorist attack in the United States, transform the country into a dictatorship and launch a war with Iran within a year.

Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, blasted Thursday a new Executive Order, released July 17, allowing the White House to seize the assets of anyone who interferes with its Iraq policies and giving the government expanded police powers to exercise control in the country.

Roberts, who spoke on the Thom Hartmann radio program, said: "When Bush exercises this authority [under the new Executive Order], there's no check to it. So it really is a form of total, absolute, one-man rule."

"The American people don't really understand the danger that they face," Roberts said, adding that the so-called neoconservatives intended to use a renewal of the fight against terrorism to rally the American people around the fading Republican Party."
