US Begs China To Prop Up Housing As 1.8 Americans Face Foreclosure

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

As we had previously reported in our June 28th report, titled "US Banking Collapse ‘Imminent’ Warns French Banking Giant", the economic situation in the United States has become so dire that they are now begging the Chinese Government to, in effect, bail them out of the crisis they now find themselves in, and as we can read as reported by Britain’s Times News Service:

"Representatives of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development were in Beijing yesterday trying to tap China’s $1.33 trillion of foreign currency reserves as the growing level of defaults continued to deter many traditional investors in bonds backed by subprime loans.

On Thursday, it emerged that mortgage banks were expected to foreclose on 1.8 million home loans this year, representing a 44 per cent increase on 2006."

Most curiously, however, about the dire state of the American economy is the reaction of their government officials, and as we can read as reported by the CNN News Service:

"Just how red-hot is the current worldwide expansion?  "This is far and away the strongest global economy I've seen in my business lifetime," U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson declared on a recent visit to Fortune's offices."

Secretary Paulson’s comments to the American people stand diametrically opposed to the World’s top banking officials, and as we can see evidenced in these statements:

From the World Economic Forum on East Asia:

"The international community faces a real risk of 'economic chaos' arising from major imbalances in the global financial system, the World Economic Forum on East Asia was told Sunday.

Complacency has set in after years of uninterrupted global growth and there is no evidence to suggest a self-correcting mechanism is in place to avert a major shock to the global financial system, delegates to the two-day forum were told.

Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Singapore's Second Minister for Finance, warned the financial contagion will hit when it is least expected and bring about a 'vicious' aftermath."

From the Bank of International Settlements:

"The Bank for International Settlements, the world's most prestigious financial body, has warned that years of loose monetary policy has fuelled a dangerous credit bubble, leaving the global economy more vulnerable to another 1930s-style slump than generally understood.

"Virtually nobody foresaw the Great Depression of the 1930s, or the crises which affected Japan and Southeast Asia in the early and late 1990s. In fact, each downturn was preceded by a period of non-inflationary growth exuberant enough to lead many commentators to suggest that a 'new era' had arrived", said the bank.

The BIS, the ultimate bank of central bankers, pointed to a confluence a worrying signs, citing mass issuance of new-fangled credit instruments, soaring levels of household debt, extreme appetite for risk shown by investors, and entrenched imbalances in the world currency system."

The absurdity of the American people believing their government officials, and who constantly urge their citizens to continue spending money, can be brought into sharp relief by viewing the staggering cost to them of maintaining their war economy, and which shows the following statistics:

"The Pentagon has 29 million acres in landholdings, 280 ships, 14,000 aircraft, 900 strategic missiles, and 330,000 ground combat and tactical vehicles."

To the catastrophic danger of the United States, or any nation, establishing their economy on war the American people were warned about by the great World War II general and President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and who in his final address to his citizens, in 1961, stated:

"This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

Having failed to heed these words of warning from one of their greatest Presidents, the American people of today have become virtual slaves to a monolithic monster of war devoid of those exact ‘spiritual’ values which once made them a great people.  And, to full extent of how far they have fallen one only has to look at the barbarians they have unleashed upon the Muslim peoples of the World:

"It is an axiom of American political life that the actions of the US military are beyond criticism. Democrats and Republicans praise the men and women in uniform at every turn. Apart from the odd bad apple at Abu Ghraib, the US military in Iraq is deemed to be doing a heroic job under trying circumstances.

That perception will take a severe knock today with the publication in The Nation magazine of a series of in-depth interviews with 50 combat veterans of the Iraq war from across the US. In the interviews, veterans have described acts of violence in which US forces have abused or killed Iraqi men, women and children with impunity.

Through a combination of gung-ho recklessness and criminal behaviour born of panic, a narrative emerges of an army that frequently commits acts of cold-blooded violence. A number of interviewees revealed that the military will attempt to frame innocent bystanders as insurgents, often after panicked American troops have fired into groups of unarmed Iraqis. The veterans said the troops involved would round up any survivors and accuse them of being in the resistance while planting Kalashnikov AK47 rifles beside corpses to make it appear that they had died in combat.

The worst abuses seem to have been during raids on private homes when soldiers were hunting insurgents. Thousands of such raids have taken place, usually at dead of night. The veterans point out that most are futile and serve only to terrify the civilians, while generating sympathy for the resistance.

Sgt John Bruhns, 29, of the 3rd Brigade, 1st Armoured Division, described a typical raid. "You want to catch them off guard," he explained. "You want to catch them in their sleep ... You grab the man of the house. You rip him out of bed in front of his wife. You put him up against the wall... Then you go into a room and you tear the room to shreds. You'll ask 'Do you have any weapons? Do you have any anti-US propaganda?"  [Full Report]

The one ‘bright spot’ emerging from the heartland of American is the growing civil rebellion of a small group of determined citizens who are calling on their fellow countrymen to ‘just stop paying everything’, and which is modeled on the peoples of the former Nazi German city of Dresden, which near the end of World War II all of its citizens refused to pay any bill whatsoever as a protest to war.

The effect of the non-violent opposition by the people of Dresden against the Nazi Regime to continue supporting their nation’s war economy was immediate, though unexpected.  For it was not the terror of the Nazi Regime that descended upon the men, women and children of Dresden, but their ‘liberators’, the United States and Great Britain, and who on February 15, 1945, 3 months before the ending of the war, completely destroyed in a massive firebombing the only German city that defied Hitler and the Nazis.

But, though unexpected by the citizens of Dresden, the destruction of these people was deemed ‘vital’ by the financiers of this brutal European conflict, and who many in America today are still unaware of, and for good reason, because, the Chief Financier for the United States during World War II was James Warburg, and who was the brother of the Nazi Germans Chief Financier, Max Warburg, and whose older brother, Paul Warburg, who is considered the ‘Father’ of the United States Federal Reserve System.

Today, as the dark clouds of Total World War, and economic collapse, descend upon the American people they are still unable to understand the totality of the evil which is about to destroy them all, and their once great Nation.  And, in failing to understand what faces them they remain ignorant of the only means available to them to free themselves…… “Just stop paying.”

After all, how can any corrupt government survive when its citizens refuse to participate?  Does any government on Earth have the power to foreclose and evict its entire population?
